Portrait of the day of one of my first follower, Andy, when I started on this art journey here on WordPress. Pencil on paper. Thanx you for the support and encouragement over the years and for being part of my art community.
Portrait of the beautiful and talented actor, singer, songwriter Chelsia Ng If I had a little sister, she would be the one who’s always got my back. Surround yourself with good people.
I haven’t been drawing for a while and today I felt like going back to drawing portraits. So here you go. A pencil drawing of the beautiful and talented actress and comedian Awkwafina.
Portrait of dancer Oti Mabuse. I can’t believe this is the final one of the season from Sky Arts Artist of the year. It’s been a short season and I will miss the programme and painting along with the art community 🌹
Happy international women’s day. I painted this Portrait of actor and activist Jill Nalder yesterday along with Portrait artist of the week series. Jill’s real life inspired Russell Davies hit TV drama series “It’s a sin” about HIV and AIDS in the 80s.
Today’s portrait painting is of Clive Myrie. I’m calling it a night. I’ve been drawing and painting all Sunday and I finally feel productive for the first time this year. Thank you to Artist of the year for this wonderful programme for the art community to come together to paint every Sunday. It’s really a joy amidst this depressing lockdown.
I’m so happy Portrait artist of the week is back. This is season 3. First sitter is the lovely talented actor @nicolacoughlan Made my day painting along with the portrait artist community 🌹
And it’s a wrap for 2020. 🎉 My third and final completed portrait commission, should be arriving in the UK anytime now. Thank you to my friend Amanda for supporting my December charity drive ♥ For December, I’m donating 50% of all portrait commissions to my charity of choice, which is the House of Hope in Penang. It is a community centre that helps the hardcore poor by giving them somewhere to go for food, for help and their children are cared for and sent to school. More importantly it’s a safe space to make sure people within the community are looked after. The lady who runs this place has been doing this for a long time and I know that every penny donated is given back into running this centre.
This charity connects me to my own dad who passed away 8 years ago. He did a lot of work for people in this constituency and he taught me to always give back.
