I’ve started painting alcoholic beverages at midnight. Why? Because I’m an insomniac, and I enjoy painting after midnight when the world is silently sleeping. In the quiet of the night, I can hear my mind whisper their inner desires.
This one is of hot sunset sake by Mt Fuji in winter. Kampai! 🍶

Don’t leave me hanging…
Sketch of the day no 1169 in my moleskine sketchbook: sloth skeleton. Did you know that sloths can die in this position and stay like this until they rot away and become just hanging bones. Sometimes I have to remind myself to go eat and to not move like a sloth in slow motion.
This is a commission piece which has taken me quite a long time to complete because sometimes I get a block and I can’t start or finish a painting until I’ve worked it out in my head.
Life is beautiful.
