Surround yourself with pretty things!
Sketch of the day is my favourite Iznik floral tile that I bought in Istanbul a few years ago. I love the floral design on it. I love flowers and I love colour. This reminds me of Chinese porcelaine design which I grew up with, which is probably why I was attracted to this.
I know I normally do not sketch in colour but I bought some sharpie markers and I should use them more 🙂
Sketch of the day is making a pretty pattern of my favourite flower pink ginger 🙂
These violet trumpet flowers were originally sketched last summer in Devon. I’ve finally coloured them and made them into a floral pattern for today’s sketch.

Today a sketch is dancing Rosehip pattern. I’m off to the jungle overnight to see what I can spot in there! I will be internetless which is nice. No phone, no computer. A good detox from the stress of urban living!
