This is the 3rd drawing from my Ancient ruins in Ephesus architectural element series.
Today’s sketch follows yesterday’s theme of architectural element from ancient Greek ruins in Ephesus, Turkey. Ephesus is one the seven wonders of the Ancient World.
I took Elvis the cat tote with me to Turkey. Below is a photo of Elvis amongst the ruins in Ephesus.
I was in Turkey this time last year. Turkey is an incredibly beautiful country. I would describe it as architecturally perfect. It is not only a perfect blend of East and West, but also old and new. The people are friendly, the landscape is breathtaking, the food is amazing.
The sketch above is from Ephesus. An ancient Greek and later Roman city. This is one of the largest and most intact ancient ruins I have visited. Visiting the site really made me respect the talents and determination of the ancient architects and builders.
