Piggy aka Bailey the Jack Russell is the latest new addition to the family

I mentioned a few weeks ago that my sister in law temporarily adopted this cute Jack Russel she found outside the house. We named her Piggy. She’s been staying with us for about a week and finally the owners were found. Her real name is Bailey. I was really sad when I heard they were sending her home. I was happy for her but sad for me. She’s so cute and adorable.

Today, when I came home, a little Jack Russell greeted me. Is it, it can’t be? Yes, Bailey is back with us! Apparently the owners returned her to us because their son is allergic to dogs. They have visitation rights but we have Bailey full time.

I haven’t had a genuine smile for a long time. I am so happy my sister in law decided to keep her 🙂

Set your spirit free: There is beauty all around us

I named her Marley cos she hangs out at the beach. Every time I go to the beach cafe, she is there. There are a lot of strays but people feed them and look after them without quite owning them. My sister in law is one of those people who feeds  a lot of dogs and looks after their medical bills, but they still live on the streets. We don’t like sending them to the shelters cos they get put down eventually, if nobody adopts them.

Sketch of the day no: 229 Brownie the stray dog

I’m calling him brownie, but I don’t know what his name is. He lives in Penang on Armenian St and guards the shop called China Joe’s. The lady feeds the strays and tries to rehome the dogs in the area. In Langkawi, she has an animal shelter called Langkawi Lassie.

Today’s sketch is Dougie the dog from Lijiang, China. I was there this time last year. I think the colour finally brings this sketch to life.

I am still in Singapore for my friend’s week long destination wedding. Below are beach bags I designed for them for their guests to use during the wedding week. His and her duffle bags with customized graphics. We used the bags at Tanjong Beach Club on Sentosa.

I’m sure you can tell I love animals especially dogs. I don’t have any of my own. I don’t think I would be a responsible pet owner. I just do’t have the time for them, but I do love borrowing my friends dogs and then being able to give it back to them. ;p
