Sketch of the in my moleskine art journal is of a Pandan tree and fruit which is native to Malaysia and they are Hardy trees which can grow by the beach. The leaves can be woven to make mats and baskets. The fruits are edible too but i have never tried.

Sketch of the day in my moleskine art journal is of a wild heritage tree which was named after Penang. Locally known as Durian daun tajam. Durio pinangianus. The tree has pinky orange flowers and a spikey fruit similar to the domestic durian but there’s not much flesh for eating. It is the lesser know cousin.
