Today I’m back to my wildlife series as I’ve run out of pet portraits. I love animals so I’m going to try to draw as many as I can and see where this goes.
Sketch of the day no 1495 in my moleskine sketchbook is of a Malayan Tapir.

Tapirs are like a mashup of a panda πΌ wild π boar and π¦ rhino. I have considered doing dinosaurs. I did one and gave up ππ¦π¦ I was supposed to do a dinosaur colouring book for my friends son but I think he’s over dinosaurs by now π€£

Love your wildlife series. I think you might have “done” a tapir before. Those will always remind me the adventures of Tintin, “Le temple du Soleil”

I’ve never heard of the Malayan Tapir before.
What an interesting looking animal. π
Now that you’re looking for other types of animals to draw besides pets, have you considered drawing dinosaurs? π¦π¦
