My second completed portrait commission of my art patron.
She’s been asking me to paint her ever since I started painting second season of portrait artist of the week but I kept refusing, until finally last week I said yes. Thank you for pushing me out of my comfort zone and supporting my December charity drive ā„
For December, I’m donating 50% of all portrait commissions to my charity of choice, which is the House of Hope in Penang.
It is a community centre that helps the hardcore poor by giving them somewhere to go for food, for help and their children are cared for and sent to school. More importantly it’s a safe space to make sure people within the community are looked after.
The lady who runs this place has been doing this for a long time and I know that every penny donated is given back into running this centre.

I’m so glad you like this one. It’s been a hard battle to capture her especially when I’ve only met her briefly once but chatting with her constantly on social media has helped to form this portrait.

Wow. This might be one of your best portraits so far (though I am partial to your self-portrait you did a while ago).
You captured the subject’s shining soul… šš» (She must be a Lady to admire)
Take care Kawanku.
