Today is day 14/30 of covid-19 lockdown. We’re now halfway through, and finally I feel that i have eased into the rhythms of staying home and appreciating nature from my balcony. I’m grateful for having a balcony to get some illusions of being outdoors.
Sketch of the day no 1324 in my moleskine sketchbook is of Kelly the Kingfisher.
She doesn’t actually come to my balcony often but i can always see her in the distance, sitting on a tree, or flitting around, always alert. She’s a good hunter.

Beautiful rendering of the Kingfisher. We are just past 30 days isolation and will keep at it for who knows how long. I can’t afford to catch it!
