How’s your week been? I’ve been busy trying to finish some paintings but I really miss sketching and I need a break from my work, so here’s my sketch of the day.
Sketch of the day no 1299 in my moleskine sketchbook is of a l Blue and white Japanese porcelain jar with peacock motif and chrysanthemum flower.
Have a creative day and hope you enjoy watching my video of this drawing. 💙

Good point. I will let you know. (You do like a challenge don’t you?)

Well that’s a good excuse but don’t cling on to it for too long. Use both techniques as a challenge

You have a very good point. But since I didn’t sketch for 40 years, I kinda lack confidence… So I’ll stick to the pencil, ink, watercolour routine for a while until I can fly… (You are an example…)

Well the whole point of not using the pencil is to learn to not be perfect not precious about the drawing and simply enjoying the process 🌹

LOL again. You are right, I spend a lot of time erasing. But you? You just don’t need it, because of your talent and experience… 😉

I spend more time erasing with pencils than drawing that’s why I don’t use them 😂😉

“Pencil gets in the way”? fascinating. I need to go back to drawing. After a few sketches last year, I have put it aside. But I still need the pencil. It’s my crutch… 😉

It makes me really observe what I’m drawing and definitely not with a pencil that gets in the way

Love the drawing and your videos… (also the fact that you don’t use pencil to draw a previous outline… Your eye and mind are are amazing…)

I did! I played in the kitchen a while experimenting with a couple of new dishes, then I put my feet up with a book! 😉
