Actually I think you are right. Some competition could be healthy as long as it’s to make yourself better. It’s in the intention.

This is an interestingly arguable point. It can be contended that the most successful bloomers attract more pollinators, so refining does take place. Similarly, human competition can be a healthy thing, leading to refinement of performance?
