Today feels like it’s been played out in slow motion from over exerting myself yesterday with the excitement of all the different workouts I discovered on ClassPass.com which just launched in Penang, but I didn’t forget to sketch ππ€£
Sketch of the day no 1268 in my moleskine sketchbook is of ylang ylang plant.

Femme fatale is a Western concept, European and US, common in litterature of the 19th and 20th century. And 50’s “film noir”. She is the seductress, the temptress, the woman who leads men to their doom. A classic really. My own view? As women slowly gained independance, male (writers) felt threatened. Couldn’t deal with a “free women”. So those had to “necessarily” be evil, as opposed to the submissive housewife and mother. π (BUt hey, that’s just my reading)

‘Hope you’re recoered. Miss Ylang-Ylang was the name of an Asian”Femme fatale” in adventure books I read in my youth. π And I’ve always been curious of the plant. Never seen one “in the flesh”. Thank you for updating my knowledge. π Bon week-end Kawanku.
