It would mean closing entire portions of the islands. In east Africa the game wardens of the national parks are practically organized as a military force.

It’s totally extinct in Malaysian last year and the survival of the last 100 looks bleak since they don’t reproduce quickly.

I am sad that rhinos are under such an imminent threat. I think they are beautiful.

A hundred is very sad. Those Asian rhinos always remind me of one of Kipling’s just-so-stories, about the parsi and the rhino… One of my favourite childhood stories.
