Is freedom a privilege or a right?
.
If my dad was alive, this would be a discussion I would have had with him. Today is his birthday. Happy birthday dad. I love you always and you are always in my heart ❤️

Love your making off. The sureness of your hand as you draw makes me green with envy… (And a good tutorial too!)
Coming back (like I said) to the question your father would have loved:
Freedom is a privilege. It should be a right, but it remains a privilege. For those who chose freedom. For those who can live in a free state, there aren’t that many. For those who can live with the responsability Freedom entails. 🙂
So, it is a privilege, to be cherished, when you are graced with it. And, again it should be a right. Freedom is priceless. 🙂
(I hope your father would have approved)

Reblogged this on By the Mighty Mumford and commented:
FOR SOME, IT BECOMES A PRIVILEGE…NOT ALWAYS BY THEIR OWN CHOICE. HER EAGLE EYE MAKES IT FLY! AND STEADY HAND—NO DOUBT!

It is a positive start. I know it is depressing thinking how much have been lost in the last few decades. I’ve just been watching our planet to Netflix 🤗

Amazing. If only more would embrace this. But – and I say this after a lifetime of advocacy (so it’s said with a bit of a sigh) – at least it’s a start. It’s getting dire out there. ❤️

I am glad you brought this up. I wrote this with the rights of nature in mind.
“Rights of Nature is the recognition and honoring that Nature has rights. It is the recognition that our ecosystems – including trees, oceans, animals, mountains – have rights just as human beings have rights. Rights of Nature is about balancing what is good for human beings against what is good for other species, what is good for the planet as a world. It is the holistic recognition that all life, all ecosystems on our planet are deeply intertwined.
Rather than treating nature as property under the law, rights of nature acknowledges that nature in all its life forms has the right to exist, persist, maintain and regenerate its vital cycles.
And we – the people – have the legal authority and responsibility to enforce these rights on behalf of ecosystems. The ecosystem itself can be named as the injured party, with its own legal standing rights, in cases alleging rights violations.”
Rights of nature is written in the Constitution in Ecuador!!

A very important question. 🙂 I’m sorry I missed your Dad’s birthday. (I love how you keep those milestones with your dearly departed.
(I’m in a rush, I will be back with more soon…)

Cool that you are offering these kinds of existential inquiries lately, Tiffany. I also like the video 🤗
As to my response to your question, every creature on this planet was created, insofar as I can see, equally. Humans and mice, tigers, snakes, and world leaders. If we realized how equal we were, how different the world would be. Borders would be resolved, and people would simply go where they wanted to go, and it wouldn’t all be to southern California or Hawaii. If we could trust where we are drawn to be, I really believe it would all work out, assuming as well that there wasn’t such a strong Warrior archetype in human beings. That’s a big one, unfortunately.
But it wouldn’t be the first time I was accused of having a utopian vision. Carry-on! 💕🙏😘
