This is a commission piece which has taken me quite a long time to complete because sometimes I get a block and I can’t start or finish a painting until I’ve worked it out in my head.
Life is beautiful.
Acrylic on canvas.
Size 600 x 600 mm x 2
This piece is all about celebrating life in all it’s beauty and I hope my art brings with it a good balance of positive vibes, love and light to its new home in Singapore. 🏡 🌹

And that’s, in part, how we learn. That also explains why you don’t “presketch” with pencil and just draw. Fast. Because the drawing is already in your head.
Another thought on the process. All the paintings we see, whover the artist is, from Michelangelo to Matisse, to Marie Laurencin, come from the artist’s brain. So when we look at a Gauguin, we look inside his head.
When we look at one of your lovely sketches, you allow us a brief glimpse inside your head. 🙂
Bonne semaine kawanku.

Interesting to know how other people work. I was just having a discussion about this with another artist.

Well done. Both the art and thought. 🙂
Interesting that you should “work out” the painting in your head. That’s what I do with my writing. I don’t start writing until the entire story is organized in my head… 🙂
Be good mon amie.
