I’m currently revamping my website because I am running out of storage …please be patient if you encounter glitches and please do let me know.

I also need your help. ALL IDEAS on how to improve my website are most welcome. I’m still going to use the free templates so I have to work within the perimeters.

When I started this blog in 2008, exactly a decade ago, I had no idea it would take me here today. My first few posts were of activities that I felt like sharing and my travels. It was like entering a dark room and trying to manoeuvre my way around.

In 2009 my friend and I decided to get creative and start on an art journey. I did a few sketches of animals which ended up on bags that I sold to friends over Christmas. I carried on doing this for a couple of years until it dawned on me that this is not what I was cut out to do.

In 2013, Mariana from FloatingLemons.com challenged me to a sketch a day project. This was the turning point. I enjoyed the daily sketches so much that I still sketch to this day, except no longer daily.

My daily sketches gave me a sense of purpose and direction in my life which I needed.

Fast forward to today and I am proud of all that I have accomplished so far. A successful first solo art exhibition in the bag.

The hardest part was and is always the beginning. Every time I embark on a new project, panic and fear of failure sets in.

My goal this year is to move forward with confidence and faith that I will achieve what I set out to do. I know I will still have that voice of self doubt and fear in my head but I will do my best to silence them.

Thank you to all of you for holding my hand along this journey. For the encouragement when I was close to giving up, for cheering me up when I was down, for sharing in my joy and my success.

I am truly grateful. 🙏🌹❤️
