The lunar new year is a day to remember our heritage.
4 years ago today was also the day I lost my mother. Time does heal but the loss still feels real.
Sketch of the day in my moleskine art journal is of a traditional Chinese Lantern depicting a carp jumping over the dragon’s gate.

Louise xxx

Yes, losing one’s mother is ‘the big one,’ at least that has proven to be true for me and many others. Sorry you lost your mom so young, Tiffany. Wishing you peace. ❤

A lovely lantern to remember a sad day. Fours years already.
Time does… soften things but there is no account for the loss.
I feel for you kawanku.
