Dragons at doors are guardians and yes red is the colour of prosperity 🐉

The restriction in colour was a good choice. Forces you into a specific path you might not otherwise have taken. And as I start editing my photos of Penang, I take a closer look at the symbology… There’s a dragon at the door of a temple in Penang with exactly the same – unusual – perspective as your sketches and your last painting.
(Isn’t red the colour of success?)

This exhibition is indeed different from my daily art. The restrictions in colour is more me to be honest. Yes the red ones were a success. I did not expect that!

I’m liking the red and gold, as well. Looks like Chinese New Year! — YUR

I’ve come to like the black background, so different from your daily sketches, full of colours.
But I do like the red and gold. Have you felt the inside evolution of your art? 🙂
Remember: everything we see in a painting has come from the artist’s head…
(Well, I’m sure you know)

Historically the black and white were real Chinese colours. These came next.
