When I went to Albama for Grad school I spent nearly 3 weeks w/o understanding much. And thinking: “I thought I spoke english”. 😉 Then you get used it.

You mean Scot? Or some of the midlands’ accent? Liverpool is tough too. Newcastle I understand is almost undecipherable. 🙂

I don’t find the kiwi accent hard to understand. I think northern English accent is way harder

It means you have a good ear. (Did you have a hard time in Kiwiland? New Zealanders I find the hardest to understand)

Tomahtoes in theory. I have a broken posh Brit/American accent. (Pas français, non, non!) Probably 80% british. Also depends on who I am around with. Here the influence is 95% american. How long will you stay in Europe?

O so tasty. Tomatoes in the UK are so much tastier than the awful ones we get in Malaysia. We haven’t perfected the art of growing western fruits and vegetables
