Sketch of the day in my Daler Rowney art journal is of a Yucca plant in the garden. I’ve been enjoying time at home and my garden is filled with inspiration for my drawings. The more I stay home, the less motivated I want to leave my little haven.

Yuccas are not indigenous to Malaysia so they are like tiny 😆

Again the (apparent) simplicity of the B&W drawing is deceiving. You manage to put a lot of movement. Positions, texture. Like it.
(Your yuccas seem smaller than the ones here. My parents had some in their garden that grew as tall as trees. Poduced a lot of white flowers in a bunch once or twice a year.)

I can totally relate! When I get close to my home and land, I often find myself daydreaming about quitting work and just staying home to work on my place. Of course…that would only last till my savings were gone! ha ha
