Tree hugging connects me with nature and brings balance back into my life.
I love nature but dont often have time to go into the forest so I found another way. To hug a tree every day. It makes me smile and I feel happier for it.
Try it. You may like it too!

And ask the tree you feel connected to for a blessing π

I’ve been meaning to do a post that explains (scientifically) why this contact with nature is so good for the body. Hopefully this yr. Fun shots. =)

September 19, 2015 at 19:32
This was a great post with a message plus some fun. I liked this one a lot. Once when I was in school I went on a camping trip and did a little “partying” when I wandered off to use the wild to go to the bathroom, I was gone for awhile. When I was found my friends said I had a sapling between my legs and was hugging it. Not exactly my finest moment! I got teased a lot for this one! Smiles, Robin

September 16, 2015 at 07:44
It’s still worth a visit. A lot they have done correctly
September 16, 2015 at 00:43
Ok. I understand. (Though I haven’t been there. I do need to schedule Asia on my travel list.) I can imagine Singapore achieved a lot in terms of development but may have lost their soul in the process? That would be a shame. (Lee kwan yu was tough)
September 14, 2015 at 05:12
They are great at progress and importing talent but not so good at keeping the soul of the city
September 14, 2015 at 00:51
Good to hear that. What part did they get wrong? I tend to see Singapore as a remarkable example of development. At least in GDP per capita?
September 13, 2015 at 16:33
Thank you and I encourage everyone to try it π΄π³π²

Connecting with nature can bring peace to one’s mind…
September 13, 2015 at 00:36
Avec plaisir. Though Singapore is probably so urbanized now that trees must be hard to find. Hug people instead. π
(An E-hug to you)

September 12, 2015 at 06:54
Of course it counts!!! π΄π΄ππ
September 12, 2015 at 06:48
I haven’t found any trees to hug the last few days. Thanx for reminding me π΄π΄
September 12, 2015 at 03:28
I talk to my plants. Does that count, too? π
September 11, 2015 at 00:06
Tree-hugging is a concept I’m not sure I can embrace. We were always up in the trees in Africa, but beware of ants and snakes. in France it was: climb higher and higher. No snakes. Trees in Mexico? We have a couple of large ficus trees in the garden. Not easy to to hug, and lots of bamboos. Even more difficult. I need to make a mental note for “Breakfast in Istanbul”

September 8, 2015 at 10:23
We have a vista of trees from our back garden as we back onto parkland. So I must try climbing over our garden fence and do a hugging trip. It could be a new idea instead of jump for joy we could have hug a tree! Did you climb up those trees too, or are you strictly a hugging kind of girl?
September 8, 2015 at 10:01
Hugs to you too Ralph x
September 8, 2015 at 09:49

September 6, 2015 at 13:39
If I did that they’d think I was nuts. I’ll just stick to talking to my tree. At least no one will think otherwise.
September 6, 2015 at 11:58
Dearest Bulan, I am taking my blog down for a little while. I will be back! But I wanted to tell you because you are a lovely person. Best wishes to you. And your art always gives me so much pleasure.:-)

You are so sweet. I’ve always hugged trees. Since I was a small child. I still touch and talk to my trees and shrubs and they respond. They surely do.
September 5, 2015 at 23:23
I hug my trees too. Always and for years.
September 5, 2015 at 22:41
If you were to hug me every day I would no doubt smile! But, my wife would definitely frown. — YUR
September 5, 2015 at 19:47
π π Reminds me of climbing every tree I could find when I was a little kid ~ and yes, could not agree more – and those are some awesome photos!
September 5, 2015 at 19:41
The trees I’m trying to grow in the back yard are not big enough to be hugged just yet. One day, I hope they will be. Until then, I’ll just be happy to give them water and some time in the sun.
Great post!
