Sketch of the day in my Daler Rowney art journal is of a Pair of tablas that I saw last night from the festival of Taal. This is the first time I’ve really noticed them. It was an incredibly spiritual performance especially when more than 300 people played in a group. I was mesmerised by the music.
March to the beat of your own drums!
Happy Sunday xoxo

Do check the link. It’s a great performance. I particularly like Santana’s “Humbleness”. He’s just happy to play good music with great players and friends.

Very nice beat. As i write this having lunch in one of my favourite restaurants in mexico (pasta-fusilli with prawns) a guitar player on the street is playing a fairly good rendition of Santana. πππ¨

Reblogged this on Cheryl "Cheffie Cooks" Wiser and commented:
It has been said to me I definitely march to a beat of my own drum-it is called original…Nothing wrong with that! Some are leaders some are followers – which are you?

Interesting, I’ve heard them while living with the Native American Indians on the Navajo and Crow reservations, can’t imagine how that many would sound together.
