Last Sunday I spent the morning walking around Camden town with Nelly from Camdenstreetarttours.com It was an amazing discovery of different works from International street artists. The demand for wall space is huge. Nelly is an inspiring personality. She negotiates wall space from landlords and invites street artists to showcase their work on them. London has become the place to be for street art and the city a public gallery with new works on display all the time. Some walls are rotated every couple of months so that new works can go up. Some stay for longer if they prove to be popular.
If you are in London I highly recommend this tour with Camden street art tours.

June 9, 2015 at 10:40
Good to know you will be back! π Workmen around is always stressful and disruptive – however nice they are!! Hope the rest of your stay is just as enjoyable and looking forward to your next trip to London!
June 8, 2015 at 22:49
Quite an impressive selection my friend. I like the idea of negotiating with the landlords. (So you don’t wake up one morning with a goblin painted on your wall) Also like the idea of rotating.
(Writing Camden in my mental london tour for july)
And I’m still trying to get rich, without much success, so maybe I’ll start sharing.

I will be back! I don’t want to remove you from your decorators. Sounds like it will be a stressful week for you. Good luck!
June 8, 2015 at 11:02
I’m so tied up this week! Decoraters in! Were you going on a specific day? Maybe I could just figure out a way. If not, if I’m lucky, you might visit London again … π So glad you’re having the best time!
June 7, 2015 at 21:22
Yes, there are lots of free concerts over lunch in the various Churches and halls, many of the galleries are free. One needs to get a whats on in London, or such the like, which gives all these. Charles, π

How lovely that you were able to do that and that you made the most of London. I have my brother here if not I wouldn’t be able to either. London is so expensive to live

I love London, used to visit every year when my parents were still alive, they stayed in St. Albans just a bit North West of London, so went in often Camden area great, went to Opera, dance theater, the proms, lots of galleries, museums and the proms, before heading up north to the Edinburgh festival, in which I both partook, and went to see many of the productions as well. Don’t know if I could afford it now that my parents are dead, but who knows. Enjoy. Best wishes and blessings, Charles. π
June 6, 2015 at 17:49
Yes I agree with you. So much energy here. The 90s was the heydays of Camden and then it took a bit of battering. Now it’s possibly making a comeback
June 6, 2015 at 17:45
Camden Town in North London and shoreditch in East London are the two main places for street art. Really cool vibes and inspirational.
June 6, 2015 at 17:43
Im still in London. Another week left. Tick tock. The countdown begins. I fancy going to the affordable art fair and the Tate next week if you are free π
June 6, 2015 at 17:39
And there’s so much more just in this area!
June 6, 2015 at 17:38
That’s not even all of the street art!
June 6, 2015 at 15:47
I love Camden Town. I lived there for three years in the early noughties!!! I visit my friends there every year. So much life in Camden, that you can really refill your inner batteries and get back to your routine. π
June 6, 2015 at 14:13
These are fabulous! I am so glad to see all this beautiful art. Thanks for the tip. I’ve never been to London, but a tour of street art would be more appealing to me than a museum, I have to admit.
June 6, 2015 at 08:14
You were in London! It would’ve been good to meet you! π
