I was lucky and stumbled upon some Istanbullus who showed me the inside guide to the cities bohemian hipster scene. Souq Karakoy is a weekend pop up bazaar which attracts the young and trendy crowd. The bazaar is a carefully curated mix of vintage and young designer fashion in a vibrant and artsy part of town.
I’m not regretting coming here to explore, discover and live like a local.
Happy weekend xoxo

Bargaining is a practice and for those of us who don’t like doing it, like me, it can be a pain to deal with when the salesperson gets all excited and starts following us around, especially when we want to browse in peace! There seems to be two distinct sets of folks, those that like it and those of us who don’t, but then those that do, get the better bargains. Well, as far as money goes, but do we get the better bargain by not getting all stressed out? Hm, good question. I say keep your innocence and stay the way you are and shop where you are comfortable! Yea!

The other day I was watching a movie made in Turkey and thought about you! It really got into the bartering and how the locals expect it! Fun!
