Today’s sketch in my art journal is a pair of angel wings that I am wishing for, to be able to fly up to heaven to visit my mum and dad. I love you both and you are always in my thoughts xoxo

Have you seen the animated film “The Book of Life”? It’s a sweet and funny movie based around the Mexican cultural practice on all soul’s day: The Day of the Dead. On this day, November 1st (until the 2nd), Mexicans build small “altars” in their home and remember and honour their loved ones. Your beautiful drawing and poem is an “altar” and an “homage” to your parents. When we remember them, they are still “alive”. Abrazos ๐
