There are lots of long tail macaques in Penang. They live in the forest and in the botanical gardens but they travel wherever they want so sometimes we find them in the garden. Marcel lives in the Botanical garden and he is not afraid of humans.

These monkeys are cheeky, not scary. Once, I was walking past a whole family sitting across the road and the alpha monkey grabbed my ankle as I walk past them. I was screaming in my head but could not show fear. He was just being cheeky. He let go after I dragged in a few paces ;p

Marcel is gorgeous!
